Base chair

Institute for physics of microstructures is a base research institute for training students specializing in condensed matter physics from Radiophysical and Physical faculties and Advanced school of general and applied physics of Nizhny Novgorod State University (NNSU). For the purpose of training of specialists in the modern field of nanophysics and solid state nanotechnologies in 2004 the interfaculty base chair «Physics of nanostructures and nanoelectronics» was created in IPM RAS. The head of the chair is professor Zakhary Fishelevich Krasil’nik, the director of IPM RAS.

The admission to the base chair of students from 3-5 courses of Radiophysical and Physical faculties and ASGAP of NNSU is hold annularly. The training is carried out in accordance with individual studying programs. The students admitted to base chair keep their positions at their primary academic departments where they study the basic courses required by the radio-physical and physical specialties.
